Thirty-Second District PTA – Convention Leadership Development Grant

Thirty-Second District PTA’s primary responsibility is to train current and future leaders. State PTA Convention is one of the best opportunities to obtain leadership training. This grant can only be used to subsidize convention expenses for registration, housing, meals, and transportation. Grants will be awarded based on available funds to deserving PTAs & PTSAs. No more than one grant per unit/council will be awarded. Delegate to be sent may be determined by the unit or council receiving the grant funds.

Two types of grants are available: part time or full time. Read the application carefully and submit all requested documents. Failure to do so will lead to the disqualification of this application. Grants to councils must be used by the councils. Funds not expended must be returned to the District.

High School Senior Scholarships

(NOTE: Deadline Passed for the 2016-17 school year.

Each year, Thirty-Second District PTA awards four scholarships to high school seniors in recognition of a strong appreciation for and commitment to education, community and volunteerism. The application process includes completing the application, and submitting an essay topic from one of the four areas:

  • school volunteer
  • community service
  • overcoming a hardship
  • exemplification of PTA values

One scholarship is awarded for each category.

Applications must be postmarked January 17, 2017.

Scholarship recipients are announced in March

California State PTA offers grants for PTA volunteers, credentialed classroom teachers and counselors, and school nurses and teachers, and grants for PTAs to implement programs annually.

October 15 is the California State PTA application due date for Continuing Education Scholarships and unit, council and district PTA Grants. Use PTA Grants to implement new programs. Promote the Continuing Education Scholarships to parents, teachers, and students to increase PTA member skills and capacity.

Continuing Education Scholarships — Applications due October 15.

California State PTA offers scholarships ($500) to encourage PTA members to continue their education and pursue studies in higher education in California. This program recognizes volunteer service by providing funds for PTA members to register for courses at accredited colleges, universities, trade or technical schools in the State. Successful applicants are notified in January and must complete coursework by June.

Continuing Education Scholarships are available each year for these categories:

PTA Grants Program – Applications due October 15

California State PTA provides funding for PTAs in good standing (average $500-$2,000) to develop programs, activities and events for their communities with the California State PTA Grants Program. As part of the criteria for an award-winning grant, the PTA applying for the grant must also sponsor the program or project outlined in its application form.

Grants for PTA units, councils and district PTAs are offered in four areas. A PTA can submit more than one category application. Consider applying for a National PTA grant as well, to boost funds for your PTA’s programs.
