Beginning July 1, 2011, all per capita turned in to the council or district PTA must reflect the new 50 cent per member increase for National PTA dues.
  
Membership Chairs: Please calculate and ask your Treasurer to remit per capita membership monies monthly! The California State PTA membership year runs from July 1 to June 30. Membership campaigns should remain a constant effort throughout the year!

California State PTA announces new membership awards and challenges:

• New Award - "Ready...Set...Remit!"  Early Bird and Chairman's Club have been eliminated. Qualify for this new award by submitting at least 30 memberships by your council deadlines to meet 32nd District PTA's October 15th District deadline. Units who apply for the Spotlight awards MUST meet the requirements for Ready...Set...Remit!
  
• Take the 2011-2012 Membership Challenge: +24  California State PTA Membership Challenge is +24. When all units add 24 members, California State PTA = One Million Members Strong!
• 100% Connected:  When membership = school enrollment, PTA has 100% Representation!

Consider your own Membership Award Ideas - some ideas are:

• Neighborhood Outreach Award: units submitting 10 or more neighborhood members by a date you choose.
• Focus on Fathers Award: 20% of membership is comprised of fathers/male guardians.
• Back to School Awards: units submitting 25 or more members on/or before September 20th.
